Come and Read to Dakota

Saturday November 14

10   AM

Come and Read to Dakota, the Library Dog.  Dakota is an English Mastiff and a certified Vermont Therapy Dog.  She will be at the library, hoping that you will come in and read to her this Saturday.  Do you think she knows Clifford, the Big Red Dog?

She will also be visiting the library on November 28 and December 12 at 10 AM.

She will read excerpts from her book “First They Came for the Cows” which is a fictionalized account of her journey as a reluctant activist against the USDA’s program the National Animal Identification System (NAIS).  The USDA has implemented the NAIS as a means to track disease and protect animals from spreading infections, but the storyline of the book explores the deceptiveness of this program.  Sharon will talk about her personal experiences with the NAIS and the USDA officials she has encountered..

Books will also be available for sale.
