She will read excerpts from her book “First They Came for the Cows” which is a fictionalized account of her journey as a reluctant activist against the USDA’s program the National Animal Identification System (NAIS).  The USDA has implemented the NAIS as a means to track disease and protect animals from spreading infections, but the storyline of the book explores the deceptiveness of this program.  Sharon will talk about her personal experiences with the NAIS and the USDA officials she has encountered..

Books will also be available for sale.
